ONLINE CHAT NG MGA TELESERYE CHARACTERS

TheCoach enters the chatroom

TheCoach: mukhang ako pa lang yata dito, ah?

Su/San/Dra enters the chatroom

Showdancer enters the chatroom

Su/San/Dra: Good eve po.

Showdancer: Hi. Nandito na pala kayo? Wala pa si Doc?

Doc enters the chatroom

Doc: Good evening sa lahat. Maaga kayo ha?

Su/San/Dra: Good eve Doc.

Showdancer: Hi Doc

TheCoach: gandang gabi po.

Doc: mamaya may mga bago tayong makakasama. 2 days ko na silang kausap sa online clinic ko & I advised them na sumali dito.

Lavagirl enters.

Lavagirl: Gud PM po.

Doc: Right on time ka Lavagirl. Guys, bigyan natin siya ng welcome.

Su/San/Dra: Good eve Lavagirl.

Showdancer: Hello n welcome.

TheCoach: hi

Probinsiyana. Nakatira kami malapit sa bulkan.

TheCoach: taga bicol ka?

Doc: TheCoach, no asking of personal info. Tuloy mo Lavagirl.

But make it brief.

NANINIWALA AKO!!

TheCoach: easy lang!

Doc: Lavagirl, no all caps please. Magkakaibigan tayong lahat dito.

At may anak daw kami.

Showdancer: Hello? Anong nangyari?

Doc: Su/San/Dra? Gusto mo munang magpahinga.

Showdancer: Very tragic indeed. Pansin nyo bang we all lost our kids because of a disaster. Mine naman has to do with fire. I was devastated.

Madam enters the chatroom

Doc: Madam, I thought absent ka tonight?

Madam: Good evening doctor. I was supposed to, pero nasa office pa ako, waiting for my sister’s meeting to end. So I decided to log in to see what’s going on at may good news ako. May bago pala tayong kasama. Hi Lavagirl.

Lavagirl: hello po.

Madam: Ang story ko naman differs a bit, Lavagirl. I got pregnant by a man who I thought loved me pero pinagpustahan lang pala nila ako ng barkada niya. I gave my baby away. Well, that’s what I wanted to believe at that time. Anyway, many years later I became a very successful and influential businesswoman in a very lucrative industry. Then something tragic happened. I don’t want to elaborate pero after that nawala na lahat sa akin. But I was allowed to return to correct some mistakes I did in the past. I was given 100 days at kapag hindi ko naitama lahat mapupunta ako sa… well, let’s say “a very hot place”. I found help from a young woman who I made to pretend to be my sister. I got her to work in a top position inside my former company kung saan I believe I have made most of my “mistakes”.

Madam: No. Let’s just say I’m no longer as BIG as I used to be. Anyway, halfway in my “mission” my sister suggests that maybe I need to find my daughter. Baka kasama daw iyon sa mistakes ko. I was reluctant at first pero lately I’m slowly realizing na baka tama nga siya.

Doc: OK. Mahabang oras na rin ang nagamit natin with the re-intros for lavagirl.

Lavagirl: Pasensiya na po.

Doc: That’s ok. Moving on. So kumusta kayo ngayon?

Anything new?

Showdancer: Nakwento ko na dati na I found success in dancing. A woman I hate got out of prison.

Sim_One enters the chatroom

Sim_One: d mo ko mtataguan susan alam ko ikaw yan

Doc: Paano ka nakapasok dito?

Su/San/Dra leaves the chatroom

Sim_One leaves the chatroom

Showdancer: Anong nangyari? Nakakatakot! Grabeeeeh!!

Nalaman kong adopted iyung “sister” ko, and was born the same year my missing daughter was born. Add to that na kahit ilang warnings ang binigay ko, na-inlove pa rin ang sister ko sa kapatid ng dati kong protégé. And just recently, I found the woman na pinag-iwanan ko ng baby ko.

Doc: Well we hope that’s good news.

Madam: Yes.

Showdancer: Oh my God!!

TheCoach: !!!!!

Doc: Well, we wish you luck.

Madam: You should never allow a man to do that to you. I don’t care kung mayaman siya, you should go to the police. Kuha mo?

Doc: Tama si Madam, lavagirl.

Madam: I have to go. Nandito na ang sister/daughter ko. I’ll see you guys again next meeting. Bye.

Madam leaves the chatroom.

Good night, people.

TheCoach: gudnight

Showdancer: bye guys

Lavagirl: good night po

TheCoach leaves the chatroom

Showdancer leaves the chatroom

Lavagirl leaves the chatroom

WerNaU_Elise enters the chatroom

WerNaU_Elise: Good evening Doc

Doc: Nahuli ka ng dating, sir. we had just concluded. But that’s alright. sa monday ang next online session natin. let’s leave this chatroom at dun na lang tayo sa Facebook magchat in private about your missing teenage daughter. ok?

WerNaU_Elise: Ok Doc.

ANO? HINDI KA PA NAKAKAPANOOD NG MUNTING HEREDERA?

Munting Heredera is the best drama series in Philippine television today. If you asked me a month ago I would have said that ABS-CBN’s 100 Days to Heaven is the show to watch. But Heredera slowly captured the attention of viewers thanks to its fast pacing, superb actors and an engaging storyline.

I still believe that come awards season Coney Reyes, Jodi Sta. Maria and Xyriel Manabat should get a triple-tie for best actress. But 100 Days current guest of the week set-up got the show kind of dragging. Since last night, the show had stopped with the guest stars and now returns to finding out who killed Madam Anna. We’ll see where it goes from here and I hope that the next time there’ll be another guest star is that it would be really, really integral to the story and not just another way to extend the teleserye.

On the other hand, the writers of Munting Heredera seem to be enjoying their work. Yes, we know that eventually they’ll all find out that Jennifer is the real heredera but by killing off one of the main villains, Lynette as played by Katrina Halili, they gave the viewers An unexpected jolt. With this show, you’ll never really know what will happen. It also worked for the program when they reveal the coming episodes in the end credits. It made the viewers want to see more.

It’s funny but when this program first aired it was placed in a latenight timeslot perhaps because it didn’t star any of GMA7’s top artistas. What the TV channels should understand that sometimes a good and compelling story is enough to pull in the audience.

MAULAN AT MADRAMA

If you are a teleserye addict, you might have noticed “rain scenes” in most recent episodes of whatever you are watching. It’s not fake rain. Almost two weeks of back to back to back typhoons are the reasons why your favorite teleserye characters are carrying an umbrella.

I’ve seen rain scenes on Futbolilits, 100 Days to Heaven and Munting Heredera. Even on Amaya, though there was no actual showing of rain you can hear rainfall on the background.

PAANONG NAKALUSOT SI SIMEON?

Last night in Munting Heredera, Simeon (Neil Ryan Sese) was able to enter the Montereal mansion by pretending to be one of the bodyguards. Now that is just dumb.

In real life, that would never happen. The security agency should have treated the Jacob-Sandra wedding as a high-risk case, knowing that Simeon is on the loose. Those bodyguards should already know each other days before the wedding and surely they know who Simeon is and what he looks like (even if he shaved and wears those glasses!). Also, they should have known in advance where they are going to be positioned throughout the wedding. On the actual day of the wedding, a head count should have been made. Simeon coming in late and making traffic as an excuse should already signal red lights, right? So it should have been impossible for a high-profile escapee to be able to break into the security.

One should wonder if such an incompetent security agency exists. Just imagine if the Presidential Security Group is as idiotic as those guys, the President’s life will always be in danger! Michiko Yamamoto was credited as episode writer for that night. Lapse of judgment, perhaps?

NASAN KA INAY?

What does Futbolilits, Amaya, Munting Heredera, Time of My Life, Babaeng Hampaslupa, Mutya, Mara Clara, Mula sa Puso, 100 Days to Heaven and Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin have in common?

The answer – they ALL deal with the same theme of “the missing kid” or in Filipino, “ang nawawalang anak”!

Now here are two more questions. Have our local TV writers no fresh ideas (Wala na ba kayong maisip na iba)? And are the viewers not yet tired of the same old story (Hindi pa ba kayo sawa)?

THE KIDS ARE CUTE BUT THIS AIN’T NO KIDS’ SHOW

GMA-7 is currently running another kid-starred series called Munting Heredera. It reminds me of the classic story A Little Princess. But for this show, the story now got more twists than a pretzel, that if you didn’t catch it from the beginning you might get confused. There are three little girls who are vying for the Heredera crown. There is the fake one, the daughter of a club worker, who claims to be fathered by the rich guy. Then there’s another girl whose mother, who people thought was already dead but then resurfaced later, claims to be also fathered by the rich guy (what she didn’t know, is that the kid is not her real daughter). And then there’s the mother’s real daughter, both of whom don’t know they are related. While the first two kids and their mothers will square off for the Heredera rights, the last kid, Jennifer, has absolutely no idea that she has the rightful claim to the throne. I find it so engaging that I want to see how they will all find out that Jennifer is the sole Munting Heredera. Another plus factor is the very fast pacing. Problems are solved and the bad guys that caused them get their comeuppance within a week.

But mind you that this is not a kid’s show. Yes there are kids and they are cute and are very good in their roles but there are certain elements that were made for the adult viewers. Mark Anthony Fernandez, the rich guy, went to a club. His cousin drugged his drink and the next morning he woke up in bed with a bargirl. Do you want your kids to actually watch that? How about this one? Camille Prats suffers from amnesia, so Neil Ryan Sese with matching daughter in tow claimed to be her family and when the lie was revealed threatened to kill her. What parent would subject their kids to see that plot? Add the characters of Ynez Veneracion, Gabby Eigenmann and the bargirl Katrina Halili that continue to threaten good girl Jennifer with harm? And lest I forgot there were Jennifer’s abusive grandparents and Sharmaine Arnaiz who wants to shoot the little girl with a gun!

I like the show and will continue to watch it. But I don’t recommend it for kids. Perhaps the network knows it’s for a much mature audience hence the late timeslot.
